Challenge

The majority of Cambodian public schools lack the infrastructure and support to provide their students with a sustainable drinking water source. Donated filters and systems sit unused (often broken) because they are too difficult for students and teachers to maintain. In order to have a sustainable solution, students, teachers, and school directors need a water treatment solution that has easy, manageable maintenance and is an immediate source of desirable water.

To date, no commercial entity has successfully marketed a water filtration product in rural Cambodian schools and there is a general lack of information around schools, their demand for products, acquisitions, and user needs.
